Happy New Year.

I don't really know if there's someone following this amateur sports blog, So I'm just going to post this greetings for all the Nets and Magic fans.

For the Magic: Well it's been a roller coaster ride for us Magic fans. The Trade was really shocking. It came out of nowhere. I myself was stunned after hearing the news. I was sad to see Vince go but was happy cause the Magic's offence was dramatically improved. Hedo looks rejuvenated. Dwight is 5 technicals away from being suspended but is still an MVP candidate. Jason Richardson is still struggling since wearing a Magic uniform. Jason Williams is rumored to be considering retiring because of an injury. Still hate Jameer, I think Arenas should start IMO!

I wish all the Magic fans well. 2011 is going to be big for us. Championship or Bust?

For the Nets fans: uhmmmm.. I really got nothing to say. It's been a frustrating season for us. Anthony Morrow and Damion James are both out. The fan favorite, Terrence Williams was traded for a conditional first round pick. Avery Johnson is still annoying.. We're still trading for Melo. Favors continues to develop but is getting limited touches. Brook Lopez continues to struggle rebounding nad passing out during double teams.

We're up against the Bulls today and is heading to the road to battle the Wolves tomorrow. Stern Hates us. We all know that. Proky is trying to save us. The future remains bright. God speed to all Nets fans out there. Have a Great New Year. A win would be Nice..

Magic and the Nets out Cold in Newark.

The Magic will face the Nets for the third time this season. Orlando just snapped the winning streaks of the Spurs (had 10) and the Celtics (14). Meanwhile the Nets just lose to the Hornets at the road, thanks to the miserable third quarter curse of the Nets.

The game was almost cancelled because of the snowstorm in the New Jersey Area but later this day it was announced that the game is still on, and they're asking every media outlet to spread the word. So maybe we're expecting a little crowd in the Rock tonight. Hopefully not cause the Nets are last again in attendance this year. No wonder they're leaving Newark for Brooklyn.

So what to expect tonight? Trade talks, trade talks, trade talks. The Nets has been trying to acquire Denver Nuggets forward, Carmelo Anthony but the trade talks (yeah i said that word again.) was stopped because of the death of Anthony's sister. On the other side of the globe the Magic are trying to acquire a backup center after trading away Marcin Gortat to the Suns along with Ex-Net Vince Carter and Michael Peitrus. Brandon Bass has been doing a great job covering the center spot when Dwight is in foul trouble but Otis Smith insist that they still need a legit backup center.

The Nets would have a great advantage if Brook Lopez can attack the rim early and get Howard into foul trouble, which is what I don't expect him to do (prove me wrong Brook). With Brandon Bass on FIRE Chris Humphries needs to overpower him at the four spot and intimidate him like what he did to Blake Griffin. Hedo might be a BIG problem of the Nets cause i don't really expect Travis Outlaw to defend him well. And when he's hot from Downtown he's unstoppable. With Sasha coming off the bench I'm less worried of what Richardson can do. He's been struggling ever since he became a Magic. The real talk comes to the guard. It's Arenas, Nelson vs Harris, Farmar, it's just an interesting matchup right?

Tipoff is at 7:00 ET. Let's go Nets! Let's Go Magic..

It's Not that bad??

Two weeks ago I labeled the Sixers as the Worst team in the Eastern Conference or maybe in the League. Well it turns out I was wrong. After crushing the Nets at home the Sixers went on to win 5 of their 7 games. With Damion James out with a Broken foot, Ross is getting his second start in a Nets uniform against the Sixers. He did a pretty good job defending Kobe Bryant when the Lakers visited Newark, Kobe led the Lakers with 32 points (9-19 from the field) but turn the ball over 6 times but it was enough to send the Nets to their 7th straight lost.

The Nets remains optimistic and some fans still believe that the Nets would still make it to the Playoffs. The Nets faces the Wizards at home tomorrow. Let's end the skid, Let's go Nets..

It's All New

This is too much for a Nets fan like me. The 12-70 season was already deadly and now we have to face this 6-14 record of the "It's All New" Nets. I considered the summer a major failure for the Nets but i was still hoping for the Best. However, after seeing the Nets' performance tonight I'm getting ready to jump of the cliff.
Brook Lopez is the biggest disappointment of the Nets this season (IMO). He was supposed to lead the Nets without the injured Devin Harris, but instead he was the first one to fade. 2 rebounds in 39 minutes of play? For a 7'0 center? He left the arena without talking to the media, which is what he does when he has a bad game. Outlaw and Morrow provided the scoring for the Nets they scored 21 and 19 respectively. Jordan Farmar continues to do a great job filling in for Harris, he had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assist. Imagine he had more rebounds than their "franchise" center, pathetic.
I still wonder why Avery Johnson told the Media that Terrence Williams had no minutes for the Nets that's why he was sent to the D-League. When your bench only scored 11 points, you have a problem. Terrence Williams could be the answer to that problem but Avery just won't admit it to himself. Even if sending Williams to the D-league is a punishment, you should consider the fact that the team needs this man. I don't care if Terrence already learned his lesson or not. When your team is struggling, you seek for solutions you don't burden them more. Maybe Brook is just a part of the problem cause from my point of view it may be the coaching staff.
The Nets carry their 3 game losing streak against Boston tonight. If all else fails, blame Avery.. For now, let's blame chemistry.

The Nets Beats the Blazers at Home.

After a poor performance against the worse team in the League the other night, the Nets pulled an upset against Brandon Roy and the Blazers. Thanks to the heroics of Devin Harris and the Team's defense during the final quarter of the game. Troy Murphy is back in the Nets rotation while Terrence Williams has already reported to the Springfield Armor of the D-league yesterday. Murphy had 4 points, 2 0f 2 shooting and 3 rebounds in just 10 minutes of play.

The Blazers took control of the game early but they failed to capitalize in the fourth quarter. They were carried by Wesley Mathews who finished with 25 points, shot 5 of 6 behind the arc, Brandon Roy with 21 points and LaMarcus Aldridge who has 20. Meanwhile the Nets starters responded, scoring 71 points of the team's 98. They were lead by Devin Harris with 25, followed Anthony Morrow with 16, shot 3 for six from downtown and Brook Lopez with 13. Kris Humphries have failed to register another double-double, He finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

The Nets faces their rival, The New York Knicks on Tuesday.

Nets falls to the Sixers in Philly

I'll label it as the worse game of the Nets this season behind the game against the Kings during their west coast trip. From the very start of the game the Nets showed no energy. Let's face it the Sixers are terrible this season. Instead of making a statement, they embarrass themselves.

Well it's hard to win games if your captains are the only ones scoring for you. Brook Lopez and Devin Harris combined 44 points of the Nets' 86 points. It's hard to think that the Nets just had a close game against an Eastern Conference Elite team (The Celtics) then drops a game against the worse team in the East and probably in the league. Travis Outlaw and Anthony Morrow continued their share of struggle. They combined 5-17 from the field.

Still we have to remember that Troy Murphy and Terrence Williams didn't play this game. Troy Murphy is still inactive cause Avery thinks he's not that capable to play yet. While Twill is in the D-league trying to get back to the Nets' rotation. The Nets faces the Trail Blazers at home tonight.

Rod vs Billy

Rod Thorn isn't in-charged anymore, during the summer he hired Billy King to become the Nets' new GM. After that he was then hired by Ed Stefanski to become the President of the Sixers. Tonight the Nets faces Rod's Sixers at Philly, in the battle of Eastern Conference Struggling teams.

Both teams are under the East standings right now. The Nets is currently 5-10 (14th in the east tied with the Bucks) while the Sixers are 3-13(l5th in the east). This is the first meeting of both teams in the regular season but during the pre-season the Nets managed to beat Philly twice. Tipoff is set 7:30 eastern time.

The Williams' Curse

Terrence Williams is being sent to the Springfield Armor for "unknown" reasons (though the coach of the Armor, Dee Brown stated that it was off the court issues). Twill has been inactive for two games (against the Hawks and Celtics). He was reportedly fined a couple of times for being late at practice and team meetings. But as Avery Johnson said sending Williams to the D-League isn't a punishment. It's simply because Williams doesn't have minutes. Which makes sense cause they have Ross (injured) and Graham manning the two position.
I think that Avery Johnson and Billy King made the right move here. They needed to send the message to Williams. He's being unprofessional and he needs to learn his lesson.

Two seasons ago, Sean Williams was also assigned in the D-League and was recalled by the Nets after a month, but the following year he was waived by the Nets shortly after his arrest. Hopefully Terrence doesn't end up like Sean and Shawn.

It's a Split

New Jersey Nets' Kris Humphries (43) Grabs
The New Jersey Nets won their first game in the road as they put a stop to their five game losing streak after beating the Cleveland Cavalier 95-87. Devin had a season-high 31 points and nine assist followed by Anthony Morrow who has 21. Kris Humphries earned his first start with the Nets and scored 13 points and 18 rebounds.
Terrence Williams was still out because of an injury along with Troy Murphy.

Brook Lopez continues his struggle playing only for 19 Minutes and scoring four points and grabbing six rebounds. Travis Outlaw also had a terrible night in Cleveland scoring 5 points in 31 minutes of play. Anthony Morrow made 5 shots behind the arc in his 8 attempts. Morrow and Outlaw are yet to have a nice game together. When Outlaw is shooting well, Anthony isn't and when Morrow is playing well, Outlaw is not.

The Nets faces the Magic on Saturday which isn't a good sign for Brook, who is trying to recover from his poor for the past 6 games. Avery Johnson had already compared him to a tissue paper during film a session. He was also seen by the camera having a cold stare at Brook during tonights win against the Cavs.

The City of Ruins

New Jersey Nets' Brook Lopez, Left, Attempts To Drive To The Basket As He Is Guarded By Cleveland Cavaliers' Jamario
The Nets are riding an awesome 4 game losing streak (sarcasm kills you know) entering Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. So when I learned about the home and home series of this two struggling teams, the first person that came out of my mind is Lebron James (damn it, this is the my second consecutive post involving Lebron James). I hated the Cavs as much as I hate Lebron (still hate him) and when he left the city of Cleveland I felt the pain of the organization, the fans and the city itself.

So much for the "I feel for them" drama, the Nets lose to the Cavs 93-91, thanks to the lucky shot of Anthony Parker behind the ark and beating the shot clock. They were "lucky" , the Nets?? nahh. Terrence Williams wasn't able to play because of an Abdominal Strain, it means he's injured in case you don't know what abdominal strain is which I don't. The Nets heads to the city of ruins to try to split the home game series. According the Netincome, a writer for Sbnation's Netsdaily the odds are very good. The Nets have swept a home and home series 4 times, been swept for 5, and split 19 times.

In order to split this freaking home and home series the Nets need their 22 year old Center, Brook Lopez to bring his A-Game tomorrow (he was even compared to a tissue paper by Avery Johnson while watching a game film). Lopez has been struggling ever since their lost to Charlotte but yeah he's the least of our concern here. Will the scoring Travis Outlaw show up? Will Anthony Morrow drain his freaking shots?? A lot of questions here but there is still hope.. It's just been 7 games right?? No need for panic but if Cleveland swept there's obviously a problem.

Lebron James is a good Actor, Seriously

It has been days ago when the Heat defeated the Nets in Florida but the NBA universe is still talking about the HARD FOUL (was called for a flagrant one) that Terrence Williams gave LeBron James during a fast-break play. The "hard foul" sent him to the stands into the crowd but wasn't injured or anything. I see it as a flop, really i do. How could you go into the stands with that bump? He's one the best athletes out there and yet he couldn't stop his freaking momentum? Good acting Lebron. Twill could've hit him harder thank God he wasn't fined or anything.

It's funny that during the golden ages (80's, 90's) of the NBA a HARD FOUL is just a HARD FOUL. Nothing more than just a foul. But now if you FOUL someone like what TWill did, you're now going to get a flagrant one or even flagrant two that will automatically eject you from the game. And because Terrence did it to Lebron James, it's now the talk of the town.

Well just in case you want to see the flop, here's the video.

There you have it LeBron James you get yourself a headline, I hope you're happy..

Another Magic Game Cancelled.

Well there you have it another NBA game cancelled because of Hockey. It's funny that just two weeks ago an NBA Pre-season game was also cancelled because of hockey and the Orlando Magic was also included in that match up, well they were supposed to play the Heat that time but now it's against the New York Knicks and yeah it's a part of their regular season game.

Looks like The MSG is falling apart like their team. They have scheduled renovations of the Madison Square garden during off-seasons of the Knickerbockers for the next 3-4 years, I'm not really sure cause first I hate the NYK and second I don't care. That's the reason why the New York Liberty, a team in the WNBA will play their regular season in the Prudential Center current home for the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Nets. I wonder why Chris Sheridan hasn't write an article how outdated the MGS is compared to the Pru Center(he wrote an article about the Pru center a month ago where he called it Purgatory). Oh well let's just say that he loves the city so much and all of the New York based teams too.

Back to my point, Yeah i know that a game was also cancelled last season but that was because of a snow storm but this it's because of a freaking Hockey game. It could have been avoided. The Game is set to tip-off 7:30 tonight let's see what happens. Don't worry Magic fans, you guys will blowout the Knicks some other time. Till then enjoy the falling Asbestos New Yorkers..

Dear Nets, Defense Wins Championship Love, Heat

It was a scary day in Newark, New Jersey when the Heat haunted the Rock and crushed the Nets to hand them their first lost 101-78. Miami force New Jersey to 15 turnovers, 7 in the third quarter thanks to their suffocating defense. Lebron James scored 20, Bosh with 18 and Wade with 17. The Nets' leading scorer was Brook Lopez with 20.

From the start of the ballgame the Nets looked terrified from the Heat . There was no ball movement as they were forced to shoot away from the basket. They only shot 35% from the field. Rookie Derrick Favors got his first ever career double-double in the NBA (13 points and 13 rebound 10 offensive).

The Heat keeps on shutting the critics down as they show no signs of chemistry problems in this game. The Heat Rises 3-1 as The Nets fall 2-1.

For the Nets, No Lebron.. No Problem?

Home team (2-0)
Previous Game: Defeated the Kings 106-100.

The New Jersey Nets have failed miserably in the free agency this summer. They thought that their new Russian Billionaire Owner could lure a "Superstar" to play for the Nyets in Newark before relocating to Brooklyn in two years, but yeah Lebron, Bosh and Wade decided that South beach is the best place for them. Tonight the three biggest names in the free agency visit the rock to face the undefeated Nets (2-0) for the first time. Who would have thought that the Nets is going to be the undefeated team when this two face each other.

So is it going to be a blowout?? Can the Nets pull an upset?

The Nets fans are optimistic. All they want is a close game. That would depend if Brook continues to be a beast in the paint and Devin Harris continues his All-Star performance. This game will be very different from the Kings and Pistons game. They're going against a team that could break the Bulls' record of most wins in an 82 game season and just not that.. Some are even saying that they could win it all this year. So yeah, if the Nets manage to win this one, it is an upset.

Away Team (2-1)
Previous Game: Defeated the Magic 96-70

The Heat should definitely win this one or else there is going to be a lot of buzz about this game. The Boston game is explainable but this one?? It’s going to be war. One trap that they should avoid. Lebron should be Lebron tonight and Wade should be Wade.. Nevermind Bosh, he's enjoying being invisible right now..

I say the Heat wins this one in a blowout contest. The Nets is going to struggle scoring in the paint and they will be force to shoot jumpers. James and Wade is too much for this team that has yet to learn how to defend and like what I said before.. Both are impossible to guard.  Until then the outcome of this game is still up in the air.

The Nets wants an upset but the Heat wants the championship..

Too Much Heat for Superman.

It was a Friday nightmare for Dwight Howard and the Magic, as the Three Kings dominated them for four quarters; the Heat has finally shut the critics down after defeating an Eastern Conference Powerhouse 96-70. Dwayne Wade finished with 26 points, Lebron with 15 and Bosh with 11.

It was tight at the start of the contest but the Heat pulled away in the third. The Magic struggle all night, the defense wasn't there and the threes were just not falling (4-24). They were without Jason Williams who is serving a suspension after having a contact with the officials in their last game against the Wizards. Vince Carter(back Spasm) is once again hit by an injury along with J. J. Redick(cut in the face). The Magic falls 1-1 in the season and will visit the Big Apple to battle the Knicks (1-1) on Tuesday.

The Three Kings Vs Superman

Superman's Orlando Magic (1-0) goes up against the Three Kings of the Miami Heat (1-1)

Last night was the season opener of the Orlando Magic in their new Amway Center against the lowly Washington Wizards. With the absences of Gilbert Arenas and Josh Howard the Magic took control of the game from the start of the buzzer and destroyed the Wizards, 112-83. The Magic has been on the roll since the pre-season where they went undefeated (7-0). But tonight the Magic faces their "new" rival, The Miami Heat.

So far the Heat is still trying to learn to play with each other. They lost in their season opener against the Boston Celtics but regrouped the trashed the Philadelphia 76sixers. While everyone is so hyped up with the team's chances of winning their second title this year I personally think that they would eventually but just not this year. The Orlando Magic is a team on a mission they won't just bow to the Kings of South beach, Dwight is not going to let them. Yeah superman may be a man of steel but sometimes he needs help. Carter needs to continue his aggressiveness that we saw during the pre-season. Rashard needs to improve in his production and at least try defending the Power Forward Position.

It's pretty obvious that the Magic is the better team right now but Dwade and Lebron are scorers and when they get hot, they are very hard to stop. The Magic needs to give the Ball to Dwight more often tonight cause that's the only position the team has a big advantage. The three pointers should go in tonight and the bench needs to dominate. Like what I said before the Heat has the heart of a Champion they just don't have the bench... (no support)

This might be close or it might go the other-way. I say..

The Magic wins this by 10-20 pts? If everything goes as planned..
